The things kids say...

When I pick Savannah and Ian up from daycare I often get Ian first and bring him to Savannah's classroom with me. Her class LOVES Ian..actually everyone loves Ian. He gives hugs very easily and smiles at everyone.

Savannah asked the other day why everyone loves Ian so much. (I think she has a hard time understanding that it is easier for people to pick up and sqeeze a 20something pound toddler than it is an almost 50 pound preschooler who happens to be pretty tall. Also she LOVES being the center of attention and gets a little upset when people are not focusing on her..somewhat age appropriate I know). John told her it was because Ian was so cute and sweet they just want to take him home and have an Ian too. She thought about this for a moment and then said, "Well, they can't take him home and keep him forever..he is MY BABY BROTHER..but if they want to borrow him for a little while that is okay."

She is such a mess sometimes!!!

She is so excited about having a new baby sister. She is just getting impatient and wondering when the baby can come out and play. We have told her February..but of course she does not have enough concept of time yet to fully understand that other than it is after Santa Claus comes. The other day she was looking very intently at my ever expanding belly. I asked her what she was looking for..she said "some way to share my toys with my sister. (she had a new doll from her Happy Meal) Babies need toys you know mommy, they just do."

She also had a name picked out for the baby, If I would allow my four year old daughter to name our newest addition the name would be "Happy Girl Day Thurman". She even drew a picture of the babyand the 4 of us at school and had the teacher write the name next to the baby. She had each person labeled..and that was they babies name. She will even tell you that still if you ask her. That makes me wonder..is that where those celebrities come up with names? Do they search out a four year old or ask their own four year old.."What would you name the baby?" and then use whatever the kid said? That would explain a lot wouldn't it? (And now we know where the name Apple came from!!!)
