Caroline is 2 months old!

Well, she was 2 months on the 13th. Her 2 month appointment was today since her doctor has been out of town. She weighs 9 pounds 14 oz (in between the 30-50%) and is 22 inches long (also 30-50%). Her head is 39.9 cm (this puts her in the 75%, but her head is small compared to her siblings, and cousins too I think, who were always at or above 90%).

The doctor said she is healthy as she can be. She is very alert for her age. She can sit in the bumpo for short periods of time. She will grab something if you touch her hand with it. She reacts to people talking to her. On most occasions she will give whoever is talking to her the biggest most beautiful smile I have ever seen. Her blue eyes just twinkle when she smiles. (I wonder if her eyes will stay blue. Ian's changed really early on. Savannah's are still blue sometimes - it depends on what she is wearing.) She is trying to giggle, but has not quite done that yet. However, she surprised me the other day by mimicking facial expressions. I did not think she was supposed to be doing that yet!

She got her 1st shots and her roto virus oral vaccine today. She cried when she got the shots, but has not been very fussy since. I am just being sure to give her Tylenol since she is a little warm.

She will start going to daycare an hour or two at a time next week. I have to go back to work the week after next and I just want to ease her into it. She did very well when I left her in the nursery at church last Sunday, so that is a good sign.

I will try and post some pictures soon!

Monkey See..Monkey Do,,,

Ian has decided to copy Savannah in her face painting escapades. I left them alone for just a minute (they were SUPPOSED to be watching a TV show). When I went back downstairs I found Ian looking like this. (Oh well, the markers and the kid are washable.)

Playing with my digital imaging program

I played with my Microsoft Digital Image program some this morning. I took a picture of Caroline and did some things to it. I hope to have really good pictures soon as I ordered an external flash for my camera today. A higher powered flash really will make a difference on inside photos.

Here is the original image just as it was on my camera.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday the church we attend had an Easter Egg Hunt. It was done so that the whole community could come. It was such a success! There were over 600 people who attended.

At one point Savannah warmed my heart and made me so proud. There was a little boy (he was probably somewhere just shy of 2) who was crying. Savannah asked his mom if he was crying because he did not get any eggs. His mom said he got a couple. Savannah handed him one of hers. (She only had 6 herself). She said that maybe this would make him feel better. He did stop crying. The mom looked at me and said that it looks like someone is raising her right. I certainly hope so, we are trying. She really is a very giving child..I could not be prouder of her than I was then!

Here are some pictures:

Ian was there too, but he was in a different section of the hunt. One of the teenage boys has him.

Caroline 7 weeks

Caroline is 7 weeks now and is getting so big! She is holding her head up really well for short periods of time. her eyes are still really blue. Ian's had already changed by now, so we may have another blue-eyed girl. Here are some new pictures of Caroline..enjoy!
